Specialist Help in Education offers assessment for students requiring assessment to check eligibility for exam access arrangements for students who are due to sit external examinations such as GCSEs, A Levels, Level 3 Diplomas and students in the higher education sector sitting Level 4 and higher qualifications.
Students would generally have had EAA in place as their ‘normal way of working’ (NWOW) and require assessment to check attainment within their areas of weakness in order for schools, colleges and universities to apply for these concessions through the approriate bodies. Assessment is often required as part of the evidence used to demonstrate that a student would be at a disadvantage without the arrangement, and unable to achieve at the level of which they are capable. Exam Access Arrangements are designed to provide equity and ‘level the playing field’ for those students with a genuine difficulty which impacts upon their academic performance.
Specialist Help in Education can provide a complete bespoke assessment service, from providing advice and the selection of appropriate tests, administration and scoring of tests, with the optional addition of Form 8/9 completion if required as an additional extra service.
Assessment can be administered for one student only or for a group of students on a given day, depending on assessment requirements.
